The Stoughton volleyball team placed third at the Janesville Parker Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 11, at Parker High School.
Stoughton was swept by Waunakee, 25-16, 25-22, 25-14, in a Badger East Conference match Thursday, Sept. 9, at Waunakee High School.
The Vikings were unable to pick up a win during a Badger Southeast Division quadrangular on Tuesday, Sept. 7, at Monona Grove High School.
Stoughton finished third with a 2-3 record.
The Vikings earned wins against Milton (25-22, 25-21) and host Janesville Parker (26-24, 25-23). Stoughton lost to Janesville Craig (25-14, 25-16), Rockford Christian (15-25, 25-23, 15-13) and Shoreland Lutheran (25-23, 25-21).
Annie Tangeman recorded 45 kills to lead the Vikings on Saturday. She also added 11 blocks. Ava Perkins collected a team-best 91 assists. Amelia Albers finished with 43 digs during the invitational, while Emma Stokes had 30.

Tangeman and Teagan Pickett finished with eight and seven kills, respectively. Perkins recorded a team-high 16 assists, while both Perkins and Albers collected eight digs in the defeat. Tangeman and Cire Smith both ended with three blocks.
Stoughton lost to Fort Atkinson 25-19, 25-16 and Milton 25-15, 25-22 and host Monona Grove 24-26, 25-15, 15-12.
Tangeman collected 23 kills on Tuesday to lead the Vikings. She also added four blocks. Perkins picked up 46 assists during the three matches. Both Stokes and Pickett recorded 16 digs each. Sara Krueger served six aces on the night.
