Beaver Dam won a close first set and then rolled the rest of the way to beat Stoughton, 26-24, 25-18, 25-20 in a Badger East Conference volleyball match Thursday, Sept. 16, at Beaver Dam High School.

The loss to the Golden Beavers came after DeForest overpowered Stoughton to earn a 25-15, 25-19, 25-20 win over the Vikings during a conference match Tuesday, Sept. 14, at Stoughton High School.

Beaver Dam 3, Stoughton 0

Annie Tangeman led the offensive attack for the Vikings (5-10, 0-4 Badger East) with 11 kills. Brooklyn Radecke and Teagan Pickett finished with seven and five kills, respectively. Ava Perkins picked up 20 assists to go along with a pair of aces. Amelia Albers racked up 18 digs in the defeat.

DeForest 3, Stoughton 0

Tangeman collected nine kills and added a pair of blocks for Stoughton. Perkins recorded a match-high 23 assists. Pickett finished with 13 digs, while Albers added 11 in the loss. Albers also had three aces.

DeForest’s Anna Sciepienac led both teams with 10 kills.
