Stoughton's Eve Wevley plays No. 3 singles during the Vikings' Badger Conference dual against Milton on Thursday, Sept. 8, at Milton High School.

The Stoughton girls tennis team won its third straight Badger Conference dual meet after a 4-3 victory over rival Milton on Thursday, Sept. 8, at Milton High School.

That came after a 5-2 win over Beaver Dam on Tuesday, Sept. 6, at Stoughton High School. Stoughton also earned a 4-3 victory over Fort Atkinson on Aug. 30.

The Vikings then finished third at a quadrangular meet on Saturday, Sept. 10, at Stoughton High School.

Stoughton 4, Milton 3

The Vikings swept doubles’ action and won at No. 3 singles to edge the Red Hawks by a set.

The No. 1 doubles duo of Jordan Bellisle and Alana Ringen dropped just two games on their way to a convincing 6-1, 6-1 win over Amanda Cudziovic and Ella Beckler. At No. 2 doubles, Lauren Model and Allison Sankbeil were 6-1, 6-2 winners over Hannah Lebakken and Teagan Snow.

Stoughton’s Allison Kolberg and Allia Taamallah picked up a 6-3, 7-5 victory at No. 3 doubles against Jessica Tan and Romy Khoury.

Eve Wevley was the lone singles winner for Stoughton, earning a 6-1, 6-3 victory at the No. 3 flight against Abby Kueng.

Stoughton 5, Beaver Dam 2

Samantha Weber was a 6-1, 7-6 (6) winner at No. 1 singles against Beaver Dam’s Abby Gutknecht. At No. 2 singles, Malia Rippe earned a 6-4, 7-6 (9) victory over Emily Gutknecht. Wevley picked up a 6-3, 6-2 win over Maya Connaughty at No. 3 singles.

Stoughton won the top two flights of doubles’ play.

The No. 1 doubles team of Bellisle and Ringen captured a three-set win over Emily Biel and Ida DeVries 5-7, 6-1, 6-2. Model and Sankbeil teamed up for a 6-2, 6-3 victory at No. 2 doubles.

Stoughton Quad

McFarland won the quadrangular with 17 points. Oregon edged out Stoughton 13-12 for second place. Janesville Parker finished in fourth with no points.

Emerson Hubert picked up three wins at No. 3 singles for Stoughton. She was the only Stoughton singles player to win multiple matches.

The No. 1 doubles team of Bellisle and Ringen, the No. 2 pair of Model and Sankbeil and the interchanging No. 3 doubles team all earned two victories on Saturday for the Vikings.
