The Stoughton girls soccer team tied Watertown 1-1 in a Badger East Conference game on Tuesday, May 16, at Watertown High School.

The Vikings then lost a nonconference game to Sugar River 3-0 on Saturday, May 20, at Collins Field at the Anderson Sports Complex. Sugar River is ranked No. 10 in the Division 3 Wisconsin Soccer Coaches Association state poll.

Stoughton (7-6-2, 4-5-2 Badger East) was scheduled to host Watertown in a conference game on Tuesday, May 23. The Vikings received a No. 10 seed in the WIAA Division 2 tournament and will play seventh-seeded Monona Grove in regional play on Tuesday, May 30, at Monona Grove High School.

Sugar River 3, Stoughton 0

The Raiders scored two goals early on and topped the Vikings in a nonconference matchup on May 20, in Stoughton.

Sugar River sophomore Anya Brenkman scored in the fifth minute. Sophomore Bella Brenkman then scored off a corner kick in the 27th minute to give the Raiders a 2-0 lead.

Sugar River outshot Stoughton 13-5. Sugar River sophomore Hannah Boldebuck scored in the 40th minute. Stoughton sophomore goalkeeper Janice Osborne had four saves.

Stoughton 1, Watertown 1

Stoughton senior midfielder Hayley Millard scored a game-tying goal in the 42nd minute against the Goslings on May 16, at Watertown High School.

Watertown scored on a penalty kick in the 11th minute. Osborne had five saves.

The Vikings outshot the Goslings 17-13.
