Stoughton's Matt Eppler swims in the 100 butterfly during the Vikings’ Badger Conference Tri on Tuesday, Dec. 21, at Stoughton High School.

The Stoughton boys swimming team won 10 of 11 events during its 104-65 Badger East Conference dual win against Watertown on Tuesday, Jan. 11, at Riverside Middle School.

In the first event of the night, Jordan Barthuly, Julian Callender, Matt Eppler and Owen Lehman teamed up for a first-place finish in the 200-yard medley relay with a time of 1 minute, 50.8 seconds. In the first individual event of the night, Eppler took the top spot in the 200 freestyle with a time of 2:04.93. That was followed up by Evan Schmidt taking first in the 200 individual medley with a 2:09.49. Schmidt also won the 100 butterfly with a time of 56.59.

In the 100 free, Callender clocked in at 53.99, good for first. Eppler swam to first in the 500 free with a time of 6:07.74. The 200 free relay team of Callender, Lehman, Barthuly and Schmidt teamed up for a top finish in the event with a time of 1:38.70. Barthuly added a first-place finish in the 100 backstroke with a 1:04.25. In the 100 breaststroke, Lehman finished first with a time of 1:11.35.

In the final event of the night, Parker Housley, Dylan Hill, Eppler and Schmidt finished first in the 400 free relay with a 3:49.86.
