...Potential for Slippery Conditions Continues This Afternoon... A wintery mix of snow, sleet, light freezing drizzle and rain will continue across south central into east central and southeast Wisconsin this afternoon. This morning's wintery mix of precipitation has cooled temperatures to around freezing most locations. Along with the continued wintery mix of precipitation, this will result in some slushy accumulation of snow, sleet or some icy spots on untreated roadways, resulting in slippery spots and stretches. Elevated surfaces including bridges and overpasses are most susceptible. Also, the falling snow and sleet will reduce the visibility to under 1 mile at times. Wisconsin DOT cameras show snow accumulations of possibly one half inch on the pavement in the Sheboygan area resulting in slippery conditions. Parts of Sheboygan will likely receive one inch of snowfall. The bulk of the rain and snow will diminish during the mid to late afternoon. However some drizzle or freezing drizzle may persist across the area with temperatures remaining close to freezing. If traveling this afternoon or evening, be alert for changing road conditions and reduced visibilities in falling snow. Be prepared to slow down and allow extra time for traveling.
