Robert M. "Bob" McKee


Robert M. “Bob” McKee, age 82, of Stoughton, passed away on Friday, Nov. 12, 2021, at Milestone Senior Living surrounded by his loving family. He was born on March 30, 1939, in Chicago, Illinois, the son of Hilda Salminen. He served in the U.S. Air Force from April 30, 1956, until his honorable discharge on Oct. 23, 1959.

Bob worked as a Driver/Lineman for General Telephone (GTE) for over 35 years. He enjoyed fishing, traveling, and helping others. Bob loved his birds, Cruiser and Green Jeans, and his dog, Muffin. Most of all he treasured the time spent with his daughters, son-in-law, and grandchildren.

Bob is survived by three daughters, Amy McKee, Lisa Streich, and Carla (Billy) Conklin; and seven grandchildren, Rachel Ballmoos, Sabrina (Kevin Kells) Streich, Ryan (Sarah Hose) Streich, Trenten Conklin, Ashlee Ballmoos, Camren Conklin, and Tyler Conklin. He was preceded in death by his mother.

Bob’s daughters would like to thank the staff at Milestone Assisted Living and Heartland Hospice for the kind and compassionate care they gave him.

Visitation will be held from 3-6:30 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 19, 2021, at Gunderson Stoughton Funeral and Cremation Care, 1358 Highway 51 N. Military honors will be held on Friday at the funeral home at 3 p.m. Burial will be private at Lutheran East Cemetery in Stoughton. Online condolences may be made at
