The calendar may still read February, but you’ll have to forgive the Sons of Norway for “thinking spring,” with all of the classes available, starting next month.
The Sons of Norway-Mandt Lodge is hosting four spring classes for people interested in rosemaling and working on craft or scrapbook projects. All classes will be held at the lodge, located at 317 S. Page St. in Stoughton.
A Scrapbook and Craft Project weekend will be held from 6-10 p.m. Friday, March 10, 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday, March 11 and 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, March 12. People are encouraged to bring their scrapbooking project or another project to work on.
Participants will have their own 8-foot table to spread out all their items and tools all weekend. Learning from each other and sharing techniques is a bonus of the weekend. For more information and registration forms, contact Laurie Barrett at lauriebarrett79@yahoo.com or call (262) 492-5242. Registrations are due March 1.
Two beginning rosemaling classes will be offered the weekend of March 25-26. A beginning class for those who have never rosemaled before will be taught by Nancy Odalen. A Beginning II class will be held for those who have taken a beginning class before or have some experience. That class will be taught by Kathy Julseth. For more information and registration forms, contact Odalen at naodalen@charter.net or 608-513-1837.
